NME Awards Nominees

There's a few winces & groans in here as usual, the perpetual worship of Pete Doherty being the one that irks me most. How does being a junky equate to being a hero? What kind of message is that sending, NME?

Arctic Monkeys seem sure of some awards, as does the aforementioned junkie scumbag, as they both seem to be nominated in every category. In fact, very few categories are worthy of mention, except maybe 'Sexiest Female' (Jenny Lewis) and 'Worst Album', which should be an epic battle between the super-bland James Blunt & the super-awful Mika (Britney is surely in there just for bandwagon hopping- the album's not that bad).

There really are a lot of categories, so for the full list click here.
