Some of the worst news has been announced, that Led Zeppelin are going to go ahead and tour and possibly record without Robert Plant. Now while I think Robert Plant is a giant cock for being such a stick in the mud by giving the legions of people who loved and still love Zep just what they want, its still even more disgraceful that they might try and replace him.
Although Robert Plant wasn't quite the cog that kept the Led Zeppelin wheel turning (it's not like replacing Kurt Cobain in Nirvana or anything like that), it's still a mighty stigma to do something such as this. Especially if they're still going to go under the Zeppelin moniker.
The only possible reason I can think of for doing this is that they're trying to call Plant's bluff and trick him into agreeing. I'm not holding my breath however and I'm certainly not going to bother my hole splashing out for a ticket or even entertain the notion of travelling to see them as I was thinking of if it was a proper (ish, no Bonham obviously) reunion.
Hopefull the auditions for Plant's replacement will consist of fan after fan entering the room only to scream "Stop being cunts, you cunts" at Page and Jones

You've got to give it to the Foo Fighters. They may not be the best band in the world, but they sure as hell know how to put on a show. The band just completed a stint in Wembley Stadium, and had one or two surprises for the crowd. When it came to their encore, Dave Grohl & co. really pulled out all the stops. 'What would make this encore really, really, really cool?', Grohl must have asked himself. His answer? Led fucking Zeppelin.
Well, as good as. Robert Plant is still touring in the US with Alison Krauss, so the Foos had to settle for Jimmy Page & John Paul Jones. Boo hoo. After an epic greatest hits-style set, the band returned to the stage with their surprise guests to treat the crowd to 'Rock n Roll', 'Ramble On' & finally the Foos own 'Best of You'.

With Jay-Z already confirmed as one headliner, two more of Michael Eavis' trump cards were announced today to barely audible grumbles of malcontent. The Verve & Kings Of Leon will headline the other stages, joining the already announced lineup of Neil Diamond, British Sea Power & Leonard Cohen.
What happened to all the promising rumors of Radiohead, or even Led Zeppelin? "When I think of Led Zeppelin, my mind immediately races to that delightful Ashcroft boy", Michael Eavis may have said if he was a figment of my imagination.
Sigh. At least the Kings Of Leon are pretty good..

Zeppelin Show Postponed
Led Zeppelin have been forced to postpone their reunion show because of an injury to Jimmy Page's finger. The band have moved the show from November 26th to December 10th. Anyone who can't make the date change can return their ticket for a full refund, and any returned tickets will be raffled off amongst the original applicants.
So there is still a minute chance of getting tickets. More minute than the original ballot, so I'd estimate chances at approximately one in fifty bazillion. Here's hoping...
