Comedian George Carlin died earlier today at 71 after suffering a heart attack. Becoming famous for his routine "7 words you can't say on television", he was a victim of many obscenity laws and was instrumental in the slackening of these laws.

sad to hear. first heard about him as a teenager from my brother who was a fan of the kevin smith films at the time. but had never seen any 70's stuff. cool
