Dublin Docklands Development Authority in association with Note Productions presents ANALOG 18-20 July 2008
ANALOG ANNOUNCES 2008 LINE-UP
HAL WILLNER’S ROGUES GALLERY / TORTOISE / EFTERKLANG / TARAF DE HAIDOUKS / JOHANN JOHANNSON / JOHNATHAN COE & THE HIGH LLAMAS / IAIN SINCLAIR / SILJE NES / ARCTIC CIRCLE AND MORE
2008 sees ANALOG expand considerably from its inaugural programme of inspiring live performances in Dublin’s Docklands into a weekend-long, urban, progressive music festival taking place over three days from 18 to 20 July. From Hal Willner’s re-workings of sea shanties, to Johann Johannson’s singular expressive minimalism, to Tortoise’s masterful rock experiments and Iain Sinclair’s cut-up psychogeography, here the new, progressive, yet always iconoclastic, offer a unique journey through new music.
Grand Canal Square, in the south Docklands, will be the festival’s hub once more, as it is again transformed into a stunning outdoor venue with an increased capacity of 3,000 people over each day of the festival. The chq building in the IFSC will be home to Analog Studio events, while Analog commissions will take place in various Docklands locations.
