Charlton "From My Cold Dead Hands" Heston dies at 84


Charlton Heston, the man who brought Ben Hur, Moses and other fictional characters to the big screen died last night at the age of 84. No official announcement as to how he kicked it but as he had been suffering from alzheimers since 2002 not to mention the fact that he was, y'know, 84, one can only presume it had something to do with those factors.

A big Hollywood star throughout the 50's, 60's and 70's, in later life his name had become synonymous with the NRA and Gun control. He was famously targeted by Michael Moore in Bowling for Columbine and made to answer for his opinions. The fact that Moore managed to get the better of him may have had a lot to do with his age and his impending illness but its a little bit sad that the man is going to be remembered more for the following...
