So the winner of the Mercury Music Prize has been announced and, as is common with this one, it comes after months of uncertainty.
Of all the awards this is one thats never easy to pick, but in this case it's a deserving winner as "The Seldom Seen Kid" is a great album and proof that this band are far more deserving than the underdog status they've had bestowed on them throughout this decade.

Well deserved - though I hope this doesn't mean they'll now sucuumb to the Curse of the Mercury and disappear off the face of the earth.
