Pick 'n' Remix Vol. 3

Another sporadic burst of remixes! Yay!!

Gettem in the readmore.

Uno:
Radiohead & George W. Bush- The Gloaming (DJ Shadow Remix)
DJ Shadow is a damned genius, and if anything provides us with concrete proof of that fact, it's this remix.

Deux:
Tokyo Police Club- Nature Of The Experiment (Rac Remix)
Really nifty, uptempo and faithful reworking of TPC's signature tune. Fun times.

Drei:
Late of The Pier- Focker (Boys Noize Terror Re-Did)
Total party greatness. Treads that oh-so-wonderful line between dance and rock, like a hair-metal guitarist locked in a room with nothing but a synthesiser and his burning desire to 'shred'.

Quattro:
Danse En France (D.I.M. Remix)- Fischerspooner
New York electropop pioneers go French, with the help of a German wunderDJ (who happens to be playing the new Bodytonic venue on Oct 23rd).

Pyat:
Digitalism- Pogo (Shinichi Osawa Remix)
More German greatness, this time with an Japanese touch. Aren't we very worldly today?

Muttsu:
MGMT- Of Moons Birds and Monsters (Holy Ghost! Remix)
These guys are one of the most remixed acts around at the moment, and this track is a pretty good addition to that trend. You can place this above the disappointing Soulwax version of Kids, but below Justice's stomping take on Electric Feel.

Siwen:
Mercury Rev- Senses On Fire (Fujiya & Miyagi remix)
Ever wondered what Mercury Rev would sound like if Fujiya & Miyagi were their backing band? Well now you know.

Otiem:
Au Revoir Simone- Fallen Snow (Teenagers remix)
Classic Simone remix, a little bit uppidy, but still just mellow enough that no serious effort is required. Woo hoo!

Naoi:
The Postal Service- The District Sleeps Alone Tonight (Downfall Remix)
From the single release- this is a fairly straightforward remix, but one that works quite nicely.

TEN:
Jape- Strike Me Down (Friendly Fires Remix)
This is a pretty cool re-imagining of one of the best tracks on Ritual. Ahh, the fine art of turning a song on it's ass and making it into something completely new. Deadly.
