Raiders: The Adaptation

In 1982 two children in Biloxi, Mississippi started shooting a shot by shot remake of Raiders of the Lost Ark. They were twelve years old. It took them seven years to finish, from 1982-1989, spending each summer working their asses off on getting it done. It was discovered in 2003 by Eli Roth (shudder), made famous by Harry Knowles of Ain't It Cool News and acclaimed by Spielberg himself.

Ahh, if only half of the films made today had these kind of production values... I reckon if these two kids were to take on Crystal Skull we may end up with a better offering than the Spielberg version.

Check out the first 10 minutes below, and a BBC review featuring a view more clips in the readmore- the awesomeness levels are through the roof.

Big movie based on their story? Son of Rambow, I presume?
