Encase anyone missed it the other night.
Sonic Youth - "What We Know" on Jools Holland
TVOTR On Jools Holland
I know I've said it a million times before, but TV on the Radio are god damn amazing. Here they are on Jools Holland performing Golden Age & Dancing Shoes. It's interesting to note that while the recordings are heavy on brass sections the band aren't performing with one live, Dave Sitek instead filling in with some frenetic guitar strumage. Which is fun.
I really can't wait to see them live again. Tickets still available here. Do it!

Happy Weekend
Apparently Radiohead have only ever performed 'The National Anthem' with a live brass section twice. One of these was on Saturday Night Live, and rocked beyond belief. Unfortunately, that video seems to have disappeared from the net, so I'll have to upload it myself. In the meantime, here's the other (also mindblowing) live brass performance, this one from Later with Jools Holland:
The Ting Tings suffer from lack of identity

Not sure if any of you have heard this little number yet but "Thats not my name" by The Ting Tings is fast becoming one of those catchy little numbers that get in my brain and then proceed to wreck my head as it goes over and over on repeat.
At first it just sounds like a number of other shite pop songs with completely inane lyrics but if you listen to it through it kind of builds and builds into this collage of sound and tunage. It may not be avant garde enough for some of you folks but goddamnit I like it and now I inflict it upon you.
I noticed this first just before Christmas on Jools so check out that particular performance as well.
