The Master and Margarita to be all filmed up

Anybody who hasn't read this savage book by Mikhail Bulgakov then here's a good incentive for you to do it as it appears they are making it into a film.

The plot revolves around The Devil (yes THE Devil) coming to Moscow and basically causing all sorts of fucking weird shit but all told in an absurdly surreal and darkly humurous manner.

Nobody is attached to star or direct yet but its been produced by Scott Steindorff who is also responsible for The Human Stain (Anthony Hopkins plays a black man. He can do anything that guy) and Love in the Time of Cholera (another adaptation of a splendid book, showing in The Dublin film festival this week and one reason I'm sorry that I'm boycotting it).

Go get reading.

Amazing book. Apparently it was previously adapted into a mini series in Russia (it was originally published in segments too).

Not too confident about the director- Human Stain is absolute tripe..

Just the producer sir just the producer. We all know how that can be fuck all. The producer of Roadhouse was also he Producer of The Matrix and Die Hard so much can happen although Love in the time of cholera apparently isn't as good as I would have hoped.
