Restiform Bodies have just released their first album in seven years, 'TV Loves You Back'. Equal parts hip-hop, pop, and new wave, the new album carries a distinctly dark feel to it, with heavy, ghettotech-style bass and lyrics spit over the mic at an aggressive pace. The album is additive- just looking at my last.fm page i've listened to it an embarrassing amount in a short time.

They're highly rated by people who apparently know things. Their album has placed highly on several Top 10 lists from last year. They have...like...videos and stuff so they must be...y'know...cool. But it just seems like with Animal Collective that there's little in the way of coherant music, which has never been a problem before but...um...okay I just don't get it. Is there something wrong with me?

I realise that this isn't a point well made but well goddamnit I should like them but I just don't.
