Dan Deacon remix of Salvador Santana's "Keyboard City" featuring GZA

yes you did read the title of the post right. Originally, GZA was featured over a remix of the song “Keyboard City” done by The Hood Internet. Now, Dan Deacon took that remix and dissected it into this an awesome blend of Vocoder / electro madness.
This collaboration was inspired by the idea of GZA and Dan Deacon working together and Salvador Santana a platform was set for more original material between the two in the future. GZA first caught wind of Dan Deacon earlier this fall and after a connection via their publicist, Dan ended up taking GZA and Salvador's remix and putting his own twist on it.

If your feeling the need for a more trippier Deacon remix well Dan also made a separate ambient piece of Salvador’s Vocoder line layered 120 times or so with slightly different start times and LFO’s on the panning

Justice NOT Producing Next Red Hot Chili Peppers record

As was reported here and else where on the net last week that Justice where set to produce the next Red Hot Chili Peppers record , this turned out to well just be a rumor and seems to have stemmed from of all places the Sun newspaper (we should have know it was false) and a picture of Anthony Kiedis wearing a Justice tshirt.
Mixmag.net had the skinny on the facts and had this quote from Ed Banger(the lable Justice are on) boss Pedro Winter
"This is what actually happened: I was recently in touch with Anthony Kiedis by phone. He wanted Justice to perform at a festival he's curating in the US. He said "Justice is the best album of the year". So I sent him some Ed Banger goodies and last week we discovered this amazing photo of him and Diddy at a Lakers game. I've been saying for a while that my dream is to see Justice producing albums for other artists like Justin Timberlake or the Chili Peppers."
So it looks like this was just a rumor that a few people got carried away with and well you know the rest. With Justice still to produce an album for anyone yet i think they could do better then the R.H.C.P for their first.

Genghis Tron commented on the series: "We are very excited to announce a series of special GT releases which we've been scheming for quite some time now. Those who have been following us for a while know that we've always been interested in remixes, but to date we've only released a few GT remixes on a few tour-only CDs. We've wanted to do something grander and more "official" for a long time, so we're proud to say that we've finally assembled a very massive, very official remix project. We reached out to lots of musicians who we admire and overall we've been completely overwhelmed at their willingness to participate in this massive, awesome project. More importantly, the remixes are sounding pretty mind-blowing so far...we're excited to share them with you."
