Pink Floyd keyboardist and founding member Richard Wright has died today of cancer. Whilst regarded as a 'fringe' member of the band (Wright only contributed the odd composition, and generally shyed away from the limelight) he was responsible for what is far and away my favorite Floyd track: The Great Gig In The Sky. So in case you need to be reminded of its greatness, here you go:

Fantastic. My fave is the very end of Shine On - part IX. Very slow mellow and sad too. Wright's work before Dark Side is pretty epic too.Echoes comes to mind.
